Before
Photoshop.
There were pencils, linocuts,
screen printing and graffiti.
Graffiti taught me a lot of what I still use today — seeing lettering as an image, thinking at scale, and working with colour, composition and space.
For the past twenty years, I've worked where ideas meet their execution. I work with photography, art direction and graphic design, with experience in production, advertising, promotional projects and events.
That lets me see beyond an individual piece of work to the connections between what is designed, what needs to be photographed or produced, and how it will all work together.
I'm most interested in briefs without a ready-made answer. Understanding the problem, finding my own way forward and seeing it through to something worth putting my name to.
