The completed Chocotopia façade

The brief

Make the site more visible and communicate its offer. The client's original facade brief allowed for only a small rectangular advertising space.

My approach

Instead of a small advertising space, I proposed using the entire curved façade. I checked the image and text placement against the actual views from the motorway and the car park opposite.

Delivery

The facade design was installed. The Sweet Fiber logo and labels and TREE 2 BAR packaging are used on actual products.

Façade

The brief was for a small advertising space. I proposed using the curved glazed façade and developed the work from my own photography through to print-ready files.

My role: concept, shoot preparation, photography, retouching, graphic design and print-ready files.

The original space

The design had to work on a curved surface and from the places where people actually see the site. I checked the views from both directions of the motorway and from the car park opposite.

Why the text is in the top left

From the Lidl car park across the motorway, only the upper part of the façade is visible. I concentrated the main message in the top-left corner. The photograph of the completed installation from this spot shows why the text placement mattered.

Original photography

I shot the photographic material inside Chocotopia. The behind-the-scenes images and finished photograph show the set preparation and work with people.

A composition for this particular building

I planned the graphics around the individual glazed panels and prepared the print files. The window labels connect the design to its physical placement.

The installation, seen up close and in motion

The finished graphics seen up close and from a passing car complete the journey from design to use in the real environment.

02

Sweet Fiber

An original logo and label system for a product range. The same visual language carries through the packaging and accompanying leaflet.

My role: Sweet Fiber logo, label design and leaflet graphics. The heart symbol is based on the Chocotopia logo. Copy and product photography were supplied by the client; decorative imagery came from a stock library.

Product range and packaging

Sweet Fiber labels, packaging and supporting sales materials.

The logo in use

The circular motif connects the logo with the labels. Documentary photographs show their use on the actual products.

Label system

Three flavours in one product range: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate with raspberries.

Accompanying leaflet

The outer and product sides of the Sweet Fiber folded leaflet.

03

TREE 2 BAR

Chocolate packaging design and my own illustrations of the production process. The outside presents the product; the inside explains the journey from cacao tree to chocolate.

My role: packaging design and illustration. The Chocotopia logo and copy were supplied.

Outer and inner packaging

Both sides belong to the same variant. Inside, the visual system continues through my drawings of the individual production steps.
